More evidence that members of The Wanted are actual superheroes now, and Max George out of The Wanted managed to save a 10-year-old boy’s life at the beach on Monday.
The 26-year-old singer reportedly waded into the sea at Santa Monica in California when he saw the boy struggling in the water and plucked him out, holding him above his head as he made it back to dry land against a nasty riptide.
And did he boast about it? Did he shout from the rooftops about what a straight-up nice guy he is? Did he take out a full-page ad in the local paper detailing his heroic bravery? No. No he did not.
Oh – don’t worry, the boy is totally fine now.
But Max isn’t the only boybander who’s recently made headlines for his have-a-go attitude – co-Wanted star Siva Kaneswaran also weighed in when he saw a man beating his partner in the streets in New York earlier this summer, earning himself a nasty black eye for his efforts.
Come on Nathan Sykes, Tom Parker and Jay McGuiness – you need to step up your game.
