Remember Magic Mike? Of course you do – how could you forget? And remember the slightly strained friendship between actual Mike (played by Channing Tatum) and his young protégée Adam (Alex Pettyfer)? Well, turns out they did NOT like each other IRL.
Now Alex has spilled the beans about his time on set and how Channing took a serious dislike to him while they were working together.
Speaking on Bred Easton Ellis' B.E.E podcast, Alex revealed how Channing never wanted him hired for the film in the first place because of Alex's reputation of being 'difficult'.
But his management told him just to keep a low profile on set, so Alex would just sit around and listen to music – which actually made things worse.
"That gave me a bad rep because everyone was like, 'Alex doesn't speak because he thinks he's better than everyone else.' That's not true. I was just generally nervous and scared to be myself," he explained.
But things got frostier when Alex, who was living with one of Channing's friends at the time, skipped a rent payment because his cousin had suddenly died.
"All of a sudden, I got a very negative email from Channing – rightfully so – saying, 'Don't fk my friends. You owe money. Pay the fking money. Don't be a clown,'" Alex continued.
"And I really took that the wrong way, which I shouldn't have, and emailed him back and said, 'I'm in a real negative headspace and can you respect me for a moment and blah, blah, blah.’ And I got hounded through this time of grieving for money."
Alex added: "By the end of it, I just said, 'F**k them, what is money when life is so much more. I'm not paying.' And I should have just paid. I think he was looking for an excuse to not like me."
Hmm… and probably because you left one of his mates in the red because you didn't pay that rent, Alex…
But yeah: WHO KNEW?! Gawd, we bloody love a celebrity feud. More of these please, folks.
