Cameron Diaz enlisting help of Nicole Richie to plan her big day because she hates weddings

Weddings are beautiful occasions – the happy couple stand up in front of their closest friends and family and declare their love for each other prompting the guests to cause a flash flood in the aisle as they sob with happiness.

Later in the evening, revelers are often treated to a brilliant display of dad dancing at the reception while a DJ pumps out cheesy ‘80s hits and one guest has their hair held back as they suffer the effects of one too many shandys.

Why anyone wouldn’t be a fan of this chain of events is a mystery to us but it seems Cameron Diaz is a hater of said things, which isn’t particularly handy as rumours are rife she’s engaged to her fella Benji Madden.

But, luckily, the actress has a secret weapon up her sleeve – she’s reportedly asked her sister-in-law-to-be, Nicole Richie, who is married to Benji’s brother Joel Madden, to plan her big day.

A source told America’s OK! magazine: “Cam has never been a big fan of weddings, so she has no idea where to start.”

Well, it seems Nicole knows what she’s doing as she has already started scouting California’s beautiful Napa Valley for stunning locations for the spring.
