Ol' contentious foghorn herself Katie Hopkins has been standing by her horrible tweets she made last month about Kelly Clarkson (hell, even today she's been wanging on about it).

So we decided to ask actual Kelly Clarkson what she thought about The Most Hated Woman In Britain's rantings. Just one problem: she had no idea who Katie was. Which made us love her even more.

To those entering late to the proverbial party, when Kelly appeared on Graham Norton last month, Katie wheeled some vicious less-than-140-character bullcrap like this:

When we asked Kelly what she made of it all, KC - who gave birth to daughter River Rose in June 2014 - told us, "I don't have a clue what you're talking about. Someone tweeted something about me?" After explaining what Katie had written (and who the hell she was) Kelly laughed: "Oh, and she's tweeted something nasty about me? That's because she doesn't know me. I'm awesome! It doesn't bother me. It's a free world. Say what you will."

YES KATIE, KELLY IS AWESOME AND DOESN'T GIVE TWO HOOTS.

"I've just never cared what people think," she tells us. "It's more if I'm happy and I'm confident and feeling good, that's always been my thing. And more so now, since having a family - I don't seek out any other acceptance."

And speaking about the advice she'll give River and her stepdaughter Savannah, 13, she tells us, "You need to be happy with who you are and, whoever that is, let your little light shine."

Amen.
