Things got a little bit scary for 5 Seconds of Summer star Michael Clifford at the band's Wembley Arena gig last night – the star’s hair was set on fire by pyrotechnic flames on stage.
The Australian musician appeared to walk into the fire just as it went off and a puff of smoke could be seen around his head as he ran away.
The star grabbed a towel and covered his hair in a bid to stop the rest of his hair burning and he headed off stage after deciding not to continue with the rest of the show.
One fan tweeted: “I just watched Michael’s hair and shirt catch on fire. Holy hell. He was on fire.”
Another wrote: “Poor Mikey, I hope he’s ok. I love you so much!”
But Michael reassured fans he was fine on Instagram last night as he posed for a picture with a dressing over his face.
He wrote: “Hello world. I’m doing ok :). Thanks for worrying!”
He added on Twitter: “What the f**k’s up. Sorry I couldn’t finish the encore, but at least I look like two face. Thanks for worrying every1 x.”
Michael is determined to continue with the next show in London but has one request for fans – not to take his picture.
He tweeted: “If I obviously don’t want to have my picture taken right now please don’t take my picture :) See everyone tomorrow!!”
