It was only a few days ago Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson was declared by Forbes to be fourth in their top wealthiest hip-hop artists list, with a net worth of $155 million (around £100 million) – following P. Diddy, Dr Dre and Jay Z.
Now, 50 Cent and his crew have been accused of stealing a Rolex watch and chain worth about £160,000 from a jeweller in Vegas during the “Fight Of The Century” between Floyd Mayweather Jr and Manny Pacquiao earlier this month.
Robert Marin, who owns LAX Jewelry Co was in Vegas in order to sell the rapper a watch and chain, has accused 50 and his crew of pistol whipping him and stealing the bling.
According to TMZ Marin partied with 50 at Drai’s nightclub before he was invited to Mayweather’s gym to negotiate a price.
This is when Marin claims matters took an ugly turn as he was allegedly confronted with two of 50’s security team, the items were taken and they fled.
Despite Marin filing a robbery report and authorities in Vegas investigating, 50's lawyer, Scott Leemon said:
“On behalf of 50, I can adamantly deny that he or his security had anything to do with these baseless and false allegations.”
