When we look back at the ‘90s we remember a happy, innocent time and bands like the Spice Girls, err, Aqua and 911 helped us forget our worries and live in a bubble of pop music and lust.

But it seems the dream wasn’t quite as pure for those naughty 911 lads – they used to fix competitions for the most attractive girls to win so they could sleep with them. Smooth.

Band members Jimmy Constable, Lee Brenan and Simon Dawbarn (that’s Spike to you and us), would enlist the help of their tour manager to find the most attractive women who had entered the contests.

Lee told The Sun: “We used to have competitions and we got our tour manager to only pick out the fittest female adults.

“He’d keep the tickets and the nicest bird would win it because it was fixed and one of us would take her back and sleep with her.”

Wow! Well, we bet that was an, erm, surprise for the winners!
