She’s starred in campaigns for everyone from Victoria’s Secret to Reebok, becoming one of the most recognised stars to emerge from Britain’s Next Top Model. And now Abbey Clancy’s eldest daughter, 14- year-old Sophia, is set to follow in her footsteps, having been flooded with a string of opportunities. However, sources tell heat it’s causing tension between Abbey and husband Peter Crouch.
We’re told, ‘Sophia is getting lots of offers from modelling agencies. They see her as the next big thing, thanks to her looking like Abbey and having Pete’s height. She has already done campaigns with her mum, but now big-name agencies are desperate to sign her and turn her into the next Lila Moss.
‘However, Abbey and Pete disagree on what she should do as she’s so young. Abbey thinks it’s a great opportunity and feels she can protect Sophia, but Pete doesn’t want her doing anything yet as he doesn’t want her to grow up too fast.’

Our source adds, ‘Abbey jokes to Pete it’s his fault that his daughter could become a model because she gets her height from him. So, he’s got nobody to blame but himself!’
Sophia made her modelling debut aged just eight – working alongside mum Abbey, 39, for Lipsy in 2019 – and she appeared to be a natural in front of the cameras. At the time, Abbey defended the backlash that Sophia was too young, saying it was ‘a special memory’ with her daughter.
‘It was just a bit of fun, it’s not a serious career launch. It was just a lovely day and a nice experience,’ Abbey said. ‘Having four children, trying to spread my time equally between them is hard. I really appreciated having a special day with Sophia and some gorgeous pics to put on the wall.’

Abbey – who is also mum to Liberty, nine, Johnny, seven, and Jack, five, with former footballer Peter, 44 – denied pushing her own opinions on her mini-me, insisting she wanted Sophia to follow her heart. She added, ‘You’ve got to do what you love and what you enjoy. She might think she wants to be a model today, then she might want to be a vet or a pop star or a doctor.’
But while Abbey is open when it comes to Sophia’s future career, Pete is putting his foot down. Our source says, ‘Abbey can see his point, but she knows Sophia would love to model, so she may as well start now. Abbey can help manage her and they could even do more mum-and-daughter campaigns, but Pete is vocal in how much he doesn’t want it to happen.’
Sophia regularly appears on Abbey’s Instagram alongside her siblings, and the family were recently seen on holiday in Qatar. For Sophia’s birthday in March, Abbey posted some glam pics of her firstborn, writing, ‘Beautiful inside and out. We are so proud of you and love you so so much baby girl!’

But Abbey recently revealed that navigating the teenage years has been tricky. ‘Sophia’s a teenager now, and can’t be the only one at school without a phone. I’d have them on zero screen time, but it’s unrealistic,’ Abbey said. ‘You just have to do whatever you can to keep your kids safe. We’re very open with them. We talk about everything.’
And our source reveals it hasn’t been easy for dad Pete to see his eldest child growing up. ‘Pete wants Sophia to do what makes her happy, but it’s hard seeing his baby so grown up. Abbey’s a lot more comfortable with it all – she loves the fact that her daughter could follow in her footsteps and it will open up so many doors for her. Sophia is just such a natural in front of the camera. She loves posing and doing TikToks with her friends and her mum.’
