Adam Levine was left shocked after ‘super terrifying’ attack by female fan who jumped up alongside him in California.
During a live show with Maroon 5 at the Honda Centre, in Anaheim, the female cut his ear with her finger nail while Adam was mid-song.
The excited fan runs from behind Adam, grabs his neck, before he calms her down and she dragged away by security.
Several clips then appeared on Instagram.
One fan said: “#luckystrike I shoulda jumped onstage!!! #maroon5 #adamlevine #yesplease AWESOME seats!! Thanks @nloera4.”
Adam addressed his audience after the incident and revealing the fan actually cut his ear with her fingernail.
He said: "That was f****** weird, right? She cut my ear with her fingernail.”
The 36-year-old frontman added: “It’s just weird to be, like, you’re in the moment, you’re singing, and your eyes are closed, and you’re having this beautiful moment, and the next thing you know someone’s in your face. Super terrifying.”
The shocking moment came as he and his band performed their 2014 single It Was Always You.
It was only a few weeks ago that Adam accidentally threw his mic at a fan in Toronto, Canada.
In a video obtained by TMZ, the mic bounced and hit front-row fan Stephanie Green on the forehead.
The American musician immediately rushed to the female fan and sincerely apologised before inviting her to join him on stage.
