After Adele popped out son Angelo in 2012 she seemed to vanish into a world of domestic bliss.
In fact, she seemed so happy with her new baby and her boyfriend Simon Konecki, we were a little worried she wasn’t going to shove new music in our ears ever again.
But the singer credits her little sprog with helping her return to the stage after releasing new single Hello last month.
She told Rolling Stone: “I don’t know if I would’ve come back had I not had my kid”
The star revealed she took inspiration from Madonna and her Ray of Light album, which the American star wrote after giving birth.
Adele said: “You know what I found so amazing about that record? That’s the record Madonna wrote after having her first child, and for me, it’s her best.
“I was all over the place after having a child, just because my chemicals were just hitting the fking roof and st like that.
“I was just drifting away, and I couldn’t find that many examples for myself where I was like, ‘F**k, they truly came back to themselves,’ until someone was like, ‘Well, obviously, Ray of Light.’”
Speaking about the album’s track Frozen, she added: “I took that song as ‘I’ve gotten my confidence to come and do me again.’”
In addition to little Angelo, Adele is thankful to boyfriend Simon for standing by her throughout her career.
She said: “He’s so very supportive. And that takes a very big man, because I’m very successful at what I do.
“My last boyfriend was uncomfortable with how successful I was, and the fact that he had to share me with lots of people.”
