After two years in the US, sources say that Adele is ready to return to British soil. After she was spotted in the capital earlier this month, reports have claimed the megastar will move back to London when her Las Vegas residency ends in November.

But it hasn’t been an easy decision for the singer. heat has been told that things are very much still up in the air, with Adele, 36, torn over her life in LA with her rumoured husband, sports agent Rich Paul.

“It’s true Adele would love nothing more than to come back to the UK,while keeping a base in Hollywood, but it really isn’t that simple,” an insider tells heat.

“Rich could never just leave the US, because all his clients are based there. He needs to be in their time zone, he’s got to be schmoozing people face to face, going to games, meeting with agents and team owners. Moving to the UK would mean he’d be walking away from a thriving business and he’s passionate about his work.”

The source continues, “It does pose a dilemma because Adele is really homesick. Right now, they’re looking at a situation where they can divide their time, with him making more effort to get to know her UK roots.”

Adele has been with Rich, 42, since 2021 after meeting through mutual friends, and things have gone from strength to strength ever since. Last year, it was even reported the pair had “married”, after fans claimed the singer admitted it to the crowd at an Alan Carr show in LA. Speaking about their romance, she has gushed, “I’ve never been in love like this. I’m obsessed with him.”

Their careers are flourishing, too. Both are successful in their own right, and last month a source told heat that the couple have big plans for the future. “Now they’re planning to definitely spend the rest of their lives together, Rich and Adele can finally put their money to use with common goals in mind. Rich wants to be a true mogul in the business, and Adele wants to firm up her place in entertainment history by branching out: more acting, more merchandising, more everything!” they said.

Adele, who’s worth £165million, previously revealed she made the move Stateside because she could get more for her money there, claiming, “The kind of house I have in LA, I could never afford in London. Ever.” And back in December, she admitted she had no plans to come home – thanks to the British weather. “I get really bad seasonal depression, so the weather is good for me. It is strange sometimes, because I’m very British. Because it’s a bit harder for me to go out nowadays, what I love the most about LA is everyone goes to each other’s houses,” she said.

However, it seems she’s had a change of heart. Adele, who is mum to son Angelo, 11, with ex-husband Simon Konecki, who she split from in 2019, was recently seen in London at the Daisy Green Collection café – looking at artist Morgan Howell’s exhibition.

She also cheered on her home country in the crowd at Dortmund, as England beat the Netherlands 2-1 in the Euro semi-final.

And sparking even further speculation that she’s ready to make the move, her long-time assistant Rose Moon is reportedly back in the UK and is believed to be helping her plan her return.

Our source explains that while Adele loves Hollywood, she’s “never really considered herself more than a Brit abroad”. They add, “She’s got her family back in the UK and many friends, and she misses them all. And, truth be told, she’s not really all that wowed by the LA way of life, which is a bit of a goldfish bowl. She accepts she’ll need to have a base their for Rich, plus it’s great for her work, but she’s looking at spending more time in the UK once her residency ends.”
