According to reports singer Adele “ignored” Sir Bob Geldof’s plea for her to sing on the re-recorded Do They Know It’s Christmas Time? single.
The 21 album hitmaker was apparently not answering the phone to Sir Bob and his team.
“Adele is doing nothing, she's not answering the phone,” the Irish Band Aid organiser told Dan Wootton of The Sun.
“She doesn't want to be bothered by anyone... She's bringing up a family you know.
Some people just don't think they can't make any impact by coming along.”
A representative for Adele told the newspaper: “Bob and the organisers spoke directly with her management but at no point was she confirmed.
Adele is supporting Oxfam's Ebola Appeal with a donation.”
One Direction boys, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne, who were among the stars hand-picked to record the classic track, re-purposed to benefit those affected by West Africa's on-going Ebola crisis.
Other stars who attending the Sarm Studios in Notting Hill to take part were Ellie Goulding, Emeli Sandé and Jessie Ware, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran, Sinead O’Connor, Nick Grimshaw and Pixie Geldof.
With the original song recorded to aid famine relief, the new track's lyrics were released just ahead of the recording taking place.
New lyrics included such lines as: “Where a kiss of love can kill you - And there's death at every tear.”
