As we’ve seen in recent weeks, working for Simon Cowell doesn’t exactly guarantee job security. And, as The X Factor continues to shed judges and presenters (bye, Olly Murs, Caroline Flack and Nick Grimshaw) faster than a Mis-Teeq rap interlude, the team at Britain’s Got Talent might be wondering if they’re next.

We sat down with Alesha Dixon to find out how filming for the tenth series has been going ahead of its return to our screens in April, and how she’s managed to keep the big man on side for the past four years…

Simon seems to like ditching judges – do you worry you’ll get the boot?

No. There’s too much emphasis on the forever-changing [X Factor] panels. It gets a little bit boring. The BGT formula works – we’re enjoying it. We are really lucky we have had the consistent panel. I think whatever happens in the future, the four of us [Alesha, Simon, David Walliams and Amanda Holden] have had fun working together. We have had great times. We don’t worry, we are in the moment and we are enjoying it.

Would you like Simon to offer you a job on The X Factor?

I think I’ve got quite a lot of jobs to contend with at the moment…

How do you keep him sweet?

[Laughs.] We just bully him. That’s why Simon likes Amanda and I – we all wind each other up. This year, he’s been stealing our phones and sending funny tweets from them. What he finds amusing is beyond me.

And how is the bromance between him and David? There were rumours they’d fallen out…

They fight with love. The banter is so strong. We’re like siblings.

All Saints have just reformed – will we ever see Mis-Teeq get back together?

I’d love the girls [Sabrina Washington and Su-Elise Nash] and I to get together in some shape or form. I’d never rule it out.
