Made In Chelsea viewers were left in tears during last night's (Monday 27th May) episode, when popular cast member Alex Mytton opened up about the tragic death of his mum back in April.
Alex, who has appeared on the popular E4 show since 2013, bravely opened up to his close friend Jamie Laing about losing his mum, admitting "she was an amazing woman".
He told Jamie, "My mum was an amazing woman and such a big positive part of my life. There's nothing I can say that will take away losing her."
Alex continued, "It's a very surreal moment you never, ever picture. You never think, 'Oh, there might be a time when I actually have to sit there and say the last words'.
"It's one of the hardest things you have to do... Another part of it is, you don't want to say these things, because you don't want them to hear it, because it's like an acceptance or an admittance that they are about to pass away, do you know what I mean?"
Alex later revealed dealing with his mum's death is "undoubtedly one of the hardest things I've ever had to deal with," saying, "The fact of it, I'm gonna miss her every day. There's always gonna be a huge hole."

Consoling his best friend, Jamie replied saying, "I'm so sorry, man. I really am. You just don't deserve it. I'll be there whenever you need, I swear to God."
After hearing Alex's emotional words, viewers of Made In Chelsea were quick to praise the reality star on Twitter.
One fan wrote, 'I’m crying for Alex 😭😭😭 such wise words #MIC #MadeInChelsea'. Another added, 'So brave of @AlexanderMytton to talk so openly about his mum passing away on tonight’s #madeinchelsea sadly so many people will relate to what he’s going through and maybe him talking so openly might help them too💔💔💔'. [sic]
Another then wrote, 'I feel for Alex... in the same situation myself 1.5 years ago. I still cry.... and just cried again now 💔 #MadeInChelsea'. [sic]
Alex confirmed he'd lost his mum to brain cancer back in April this year, sharing a very emotional message out to his fans on Instagram.
He wrote, 'I’m not usually very good at expressing myself on here emotionally or maybe just in general but I’m gonna attempt to make an exception. Last week I had to say goodbye to my mum for the last time. After fighting, what now seems like a brief battle with brain cancer my mum finally succumbed to the disease. So I just wanna say if there was ever proof needed that these diseases act at random or without prejudice you would be it mum.'
He continued, 'You really were the kindest, most caring, beautiful all-round woman and undoubtedly the biggest force for good in my life. I owe you infinitely for shaping me to be the man I am today. I’d be lying if I didn’t admit that life was going to be a struggle without you, and despite thinking I was mentally prepared for the inevitable when the inevitable actually came it hit me harder than I could have ever imagined. Strangely in that moment I felt like I was transported back to being that helpless little toddler who would scream “mummy I need you!!!” literally every 5 minutes or whenever I needed my butt wiping (how you kept your cool with me then I still don’t know! ha) and I was hit with sudden realisation of just how much you have done for me and just how big your heart was, for me, your loved ones and for everyone around you.
'It’s probably fair to say that despite trying to act otherwise I was a proper mummy’s boy and even at my ripe age you still provided a subconscious safety blanket that followed me through life from afar. Now as I look ahead in a life without you I want you to know that that subconscious presence lives on and really I just want to say thank you so much for being an amazing mother to me, for showing me total compassion and love, and although there is still a lot I wanted you to get to see I will never forget the memories we made, I will always love you and yes I will probably always “need you”. Rest in Peace Mumma xxx ❤️❤️'. [sic]
Original Made In Chelsea stars - Then and Now

Caggie Dunlop then
Caggie was Made in Chelsea's original 'It girl', whose enviable pout and on/off romance with Spencer Matthews were the hot topics of series 1 to 3.

Caggie Dunlop now
Since leaving the show (and Spencer Matthews) behind in 2012, Caggie flew off to Australia to pursue her music career. She's since released several records and is now the host of her own podcast, Saturn Returns.

Amber Atherton then
Amber was part of the original Made In Chelsea cast and stayed on the show for the first three series.

Amber Atherton now
Amber's jewellery company MyFlashTrash went on to become a firm favourite with celebs and she's featured on Forbes 30 under 30 list. She's since sold it for a reported £2million and later founded a new company Zyper.

Cheska Hull then
OG cast member Cheska (real name Francesca Hull) was BFFs with Binky Felstead and Ollie Locke, and was famously unlucky in love during her time on the show.

Cheska Hull now
Cheska returned to Made In Chelsea in 2017 to share her pregnancy news with Ollie and Binky (also pregnant with baby India at the time). She's now living in Devon and raising her son Charlie as a single mum following her split from boyfriend Tom Huggett.

Funda Onal then
Funda Onal was introduced in series one as Spencer Matthews' girlfriend, and became embroiled in a love triangle with Spencer and Caggie.

Funda Onal now
In a bizarre twist of fate, actress and model Funda is now married to Caggie's ex Scott Sullivan (he also dated Katie Price). The couple now have a daughter, but Funda is quite private on Instagram, so there's no sweet family snaps.

Rosie Fortescue then
Rosie was known for her straight-talking, no nonsense attitude on Made In Chelsea.

Rosie Fortescue now
Since leaving the show she's launched her own jewellery line and runs a successful fashion blog, A Fashion Forte.

Millie Mackintosh
Millie brought us the EPIC party calling out of supposed friend Rosie Fortescue, for kissing her then boyfriend Hugo Taylor. We also saw the beginnings of Millie's romance with Professor Green before she left the show in series 5.

Millie Mackintosh now
After a three-year marriage to Professor Green, Millie is now back with her ex and MIC co-star Hugo Taylor. They've gone on to marry and have a child.

Hugo Taylor then
Hugo left MiC in 2013, along with Amber Atherton and Caggie Dunlop.

Hugo Taylor now
Hugo appeared on I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! in 2012. He and Millie announced their engagement in September 2017 and tied the knot in 2018.

Francis Boulle then
Francis kept us very entertained with his weird and wonderful ways (and hilarious one liners) as a regular cast member for the first 6 series. He's taken several breaks from the show to concentrate on his various businesses and travelling the world.

Francis Boulle now
After leaving, he regularly popped back to Chelsea with words of wisdom for the cast and hung out with pals Jamie Laing, Oliver Proudlock and Fredrick Ferrier. He's now a comedian and has his own podcast.

Gabriella Ellis then
Gabriella had a turbulent (and ultimately ill-fated) relationship with Ollie Locke. She left the show after series 4 to focus on her music career.

Gabriella Ellis now
Gabs has re-branded herself as London Ellis - a singer and blogger living 'The London Life', but based in L.A.

Ollie Locke then
Ollie boasted a head of very luscious, long hair when he bounded onto our screens in series one.

Ollie Locke now
He's since chopped the locks and ditched the Union Jack prints, and looks more suave then ever, tbh. He's also just married his partner Gareth Locke. And yes, they have the same surname.

Binky Felstead then
Fun-loving Alexandra Felstead aka Binky was always keen for a party on MIC. But despite providing all the laughs, Binky didn't have much luck with the Chelsea boys. After flings with Spencer and Jamie, her turbulent relationship with Alex Mytton was the centre of a lot of drama in series 6 and 7.

Binky Fesltead now
Binky left Made In Chelsea in 2017 after revealing she was expecting a baby girl with co-star and on/off boyfriend Joshua Patterson. They've since split but are co-parenting India. Binky is now engaged to Max Darnton, and popped back to the show last year.

Spencer Matthews then
Spencer Matthews quickly built up a bit of a reputation for himself as SW3's IRL Daniel Cleaver. He wined, dined, and then did the dirty on the entire female population of Chelsea in the early series of the show.

Spencer Matthews now
Spencer quit MIC in 2016 after a short-lived stint in the I'm A Celeb jungle. He also competed in (and won) Channel 4's adrenaline-filled The Jump. He's now married to Vogue Williams. He's seemingly waved goodbye to his womanising ways for good as he's now married to his The Jump co-star Vogue Williams. And Vogue recently gave birth to their second child.
Our thoughts go out to Alex and the rest of his family. ❤️
