Amanda Bynes really has got us a bit worried lately – she’s been spotted eating out alone in Los Angeles and stepping out of the way for imaginary people while claiming she has no money or a place to stay because her parents have only been giving her $50 gift cards.
But the actress, who was hospitalised, placed under a psychiatric hold last month, has been diagnosed with schizophrenia and is under the conservatorship of her mother, insists there is nothing wrong with her.
She told the Daily Mirror: “I’m fine, I’m happy and I don’t know why people are worrying.
“I’m great, really great. I’m doing nothing wrong, believe me. I feel beautiful. I’m fine, I’m good. Life is just beautiful for me right now.”
Amanda’s actions tell a different story – she asked a taxi driver to buy her a pair of socks last week after falling asleep in a shopping centre on Friday morning.
Khalil Siyam told Entertainment Tonight: “It seemed like she was really distraught. He was worried about her money situation.
“She wanted do go to, like, [drug store] Rite Aid, so we could pick up some socks because she said her feet were dirty because she had been walking around barefoot for the past two days.
“I asked her why and she said, ‘Well, I haven’t had a place to stay, I’ve been restricted on money…’
“I helped her out a little bit with getting her some socks and she needed her phone charging."
