Amanda Bynes has returned to her primary Twitter account for the first time since May to deny a number of US tabloid stories printed about her this week.
US weekly* InTouch* published a supposed interview in which Amanda reveals she is engaged, quoting her as saying: “I am very needy for friendship and I hate men. I want to f*** them, but I can now say I'm engaged, I want to be married and I want to be away from people.”
The magazine also quotes her as saying she wants children with her new fiancé, with InTouch reporting she said: “I want boys, for sure. However many I can pop out. I don't want a gorgeous girl around. Then I [would] feel way jealous. Ew.”
But in a very composed series of tweets, Amanda denied the interview ever happened, and revealed her plan to basically sue the pants and bra off of InTouch for printing the quotes.
“Well I am suing In Touch for lying about me entirely,” she said. “I am not insane and they lied about me in every way.”
She added: “They continue to write lies about me and it really hurts my feelings because they are calling me insane and I’m actually really smart.
“I finally hired the best lawyer in new york city to sue in Touch magazine because they are utterly insane and & lying to the public about me,” she said.
“I’m also suing Star magazine for doing the exact same thing and the true definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.
“So I’m laughing all the way to the bank because I will sue them all.”
Amanda also confirmed her and her boyfriend, Caleb, were planning to get married, and that their wedding photos “would be on the cover [of] People magazine”.
