She recently turned 54, but with her sensationally toned figure, which she (rightly) loves to show off on Instagram, Amanda Holden could easily pass for someone at least 20 years younger. But, unsurprisingly, getting a body like hers doesn’t come easy, with an insider revealing that the Britain’s Got Talent judge works incredibly hard to achieve her youthful look.
We’re told Amanda is a devotee of the Viking Method – the gruelling fitness programme devised by Icelandic trainer Svava Sigbertsdottir, which is also loved by Nicole Scherzinger, and uses your own body weight to build core strength. As if that’s not enough, Amanda, who has a home gym, also runs, swims, cycles, does Kundalini yoga and cold water plunges, and takes regular 45-minute walks with her dogs Rudie and Miss Minnie.
Our source adds that the presenter – who is mum to daughters Lexi, 19, and Hollie, 13, with music producer husband Chris Hughes – takes her exercise routine so seriously, she will wake up at 5am to work out, and often does burpees while watching telly.

‘I’m always on the move. I’m very active by default,’ Amanda has said. ‘After my radio show, if I’m not off to another job, I head home where I’ll do a ride on my Peloton bike or a run on my NordicTrack 2450 treadmill. This is my non-negotiable exercise and I’m addicted to both.’ She’s also said, ‘I drink two coffees a day, never more, and I drink Champagne at the weekend – my sister told me the bubbles oxygenate the skin!’
But that’s not all – the presenter also takes collagen supplements and has regular tweakments, including £600 Collagenwave facials, micro needling and non-surgical facelifts. She’s also raved about other treatments, such as Thermage – which uses radiofrequency to boost collagen production and tighten the skin, and costs up to £4k each time – and Morpheus8, a cutting-edge aesthetic treatment costing around £450, which combines microneedling with radiofrequency to give the skin a boost.

Opening up about her skincare, Amanda said, ‘I drink a Revive Collagen each morning. You start to lose collagen in your twenties and replacing it has helped with the thickness of my hair, strengthened my nails and made my skin better. I also take iodine and hyaluronic acid as daily supplements.’ However, while she maintains a strict regime, Amanda is keen not to let her pursuit of youthfulness get in the way of having a fun time, and she loves nothing more than letting loose with her girlfriends and BFF Alan Carr.
‘While Amanda does takes her fitness extremely seriously, she very much lives by the motto, “Work hard, party harder”,’ says our insider.
‘Amanda loves throwing wild, extravagant parties at her Surrey mansion and will find any excuse to go all-out – whether it’s for the girls’ birthdays or just wanting to let her hair down with her friends on a Saturday night. All her friends call her the “hostess with the mostest” and whenever Amanda throws a party at her place, everyone knows it’s going to be epic.’

Our source continues, ‘Even when she’s not entertaining, there’s always got to be an element of glitz and glamour sprinkled in everything she does – even if it’s popping open a bottle of Champagne with some girlfriends for a casual weeknight dinner, or whipping up cocktails on a Sunday afternoon. Amanda’s always lived by the mantra of ‘live your life in balance’. And with all the hard work and dedication she puts into keeping herself in shape and adhering to a strict diet regime, she ensures that she balances that out by letting herself go and indulging in what makes her happy as much as possible.’
The insider adds, ‘She’ll find any excuse to inject the glitz, glamour and sparkle into any occasion.’
