Picture the scene. Your daughter's school is having a '90s themed fancy dress day, despite the fact none of the children were born in the '90s, but we'll skip past that for now - what kind of comedic clobber do you choose for your little one?

A) Clueless

B) Julia Roberts' prostitute from Pretty Woman

C) Mr Blobby

Well, apparently if you're Amanda Holden the answer is B, Julia Roberts' hooker charcater, Vivian, from Pretty Woman. But we think everyone would have been equally as shocked with C, because Mr Blobby was pretty terrifying and a minature Master Blobby would be even scarier.

Anyway, the Britain's Got Talent judge posted a snap of her daughter Lexi, wearing a version of the famous red dress and pearls that Julia Roberts dons in the '90s flick, Pretty Woman.

Amanda captioned the picture with:

"1990's day at Lexi's school today. Julia Roberts 'Pretty Woman'."

Then Twitter basically went into meltdown and she removed the picture after eight minutes. It could have been worse, she could have dressed her up in the tights, crop top and PVC boots from the movie's cover.

But still, dressing your nine-year-old daughter as a lady of the night isn't a good idea, especially when the '90s is such a rich playground of amazing fancy dress opportunities - Ninja Turtles, Power Rangers,* Toy Story* characters, the cast of Fresh Prince Of Bel Air... actually, that might have got her into trouble for completely different reasons.

Soon on Twitter, the people that use Twitter as a platform for their outrage, instead of a place to RT to win baked good from Greggs, unleashed their fury on Amanda.

Meanwhile, others defended her saying: "Bless @Amanda_Holden getting slack for using a idea from a timeless classic! She was portraying the famous Julia Roberts not a prostitute!"
