Amanda Seyfried says she’s “too old” for Mean Girls Musical but would play Regina George

Well there's nothing fetch about this.

Amanda Seyfried has ruled out an appearance in Mean Girls the Musical, on account of she thinks she's "too old". Oh what evs. No fricken way Amanda.

Although the Ted 2 star seems to be in a position to be easily swayed to play her original role, Karen Smith, she actually confessed she would want to play the head of the mean girls crew, Regina George. OMG, that is so fricken fuggly.

The 29-year-old didn't give Tina Fey's musical a complete 'no' so the cards are still well and truly on the table.

Elsewhere, on the set of her latest film - Ted 2 - co-star Mark Wahlberg played a mean, mean, mean prank on the blonde actress.

The two appear alongside each other for Seth Macfarlane's potty-mouthed teddy bear comedy sequel as John Bennett (Wahlberg) and newbie lawyer Samantha L Jackson (Seyfried).

So in between filming breaks the duo would try to get one up on each other. Amanda tells US talk-show host Jimmy Fallon that she would occasionally jump out on Mark - and most people - to scare him, and do other little pranks.

But then one day, Amanda's beloved dog, Finn, goes missing, she immediately freaks out and find out what Mark does:
