Seriously Apple, sort out your iCloud privacy. A couple of days after an anonymous hacker leaked photos of Emma Watson during a clothes fitting (I mean, COME ON), someone has released intimate photos of Amanda Seyfriend and her ex boyfriend.
Amanda's people are busy removing the pictures from the web, and are threatening legal action against the website celebrityjihad.com, claiming the pictures were "wrongfully obtained by a third party or parties without Ms Seyfried’s knowledge or consent". Amanda is currently expecting her first child, and we hope they wipe the internet of these pictures before suing the balls off whoever did it, and whoever chose to publish them. Sue everyone. EVERYONE.
It comes after photographs of Emma Watson did the rounds online, taken during a clothes fitting. Her people have confirmed that they aren't nude photos, and they'll be taking legal action. Good.
"Photos from a clothes fitting Emma had with a stylist a couple of years ago have been stolen. They are not nude photographs.
"Lawyers have been instructed and we are not commenting further."
When she was threatened with a leak, back in 2014, and speaking at a Facebook event, Emma said:
"I knew it was a hoax, I knew the pictures didn't exist.
"The minute I stepped up and talked about women's rights I was immediately threatened - within less than 12 hours I was receiving threats."
We hope this worrying trend of violating women's rights stops soon. Just because these people are in the public eye, does not mean their private photos should be circulated. And we when we say people, let's be clear, it's overwhelmingly women who are being targeted and the big phone providers need to figure out a way to up their privacy game. Otherwise... well, we can't do anything, but we'll be really angry.
