John Lewis ad EMBARGOED

This time of year is up there with the best times of year (in our opinion) for a number of reasons.

We can wear a winter coat comfortably without being too hot or blisteringly cold, it's kinda almost Christmas (but not enough to be stressed AF at the lack of presents bought), and, of course, the John Lewis Christmas advert is out (READ FUN FACTS ABOUT IT AND WATCH IT HERE).

But better than the last point, and better than all those put together (arguably), is that an American man named John Lewis with the Twitter handle @JohnLewis comes back onto our radar.

If you aren't aware of the best and most patient person in the world, he's the guy who gets inundated with tweets each year from people who think he's John Lewis, praising him for his advert he has nothing to do with.

Here's a reminder of how excellent this is.

HE'S LITERALLY THE FUNNIEST PERSON IN THE WORLD TOO.

And now @johnlewisretail have showed their appreciation for @johnlewis' patience, and have send him an AMAZING gift package (complete with toys of the woodland animals from this year's advert).

@johnlewis wrote: "Received a huge package from @johnlewisretail including this amazing embroidered cushion. So cool! Thank you very much!"

The cushion is a reference to @johnlewis' Twitter bio, which reads: "Computer science educator, father of four, social liberal, atheist, and not a retail store."

He followed it up with a pic of more goodies, captioned: "The package included a stuffed Buster, Sid, and Olivia from the ad, as well as Christmas crackers, ornaments, and wrapping paper!"

He rounded off his tweets with: "The cushion was made by @johnlewisretail partner Herbert Parkinson in Lancashire. Such high quality!"
