Every year the Golden Globes gives us a massive amount of unintentional funnies thanks to the sheer amount of cameras crammed into the ceremony, catching every last moment from sneaky side eyes to the most awkward moments of all time.

Is it purely so that we can watch reels of cringy celeb footage when we’re hungover and in desperate need of a lol? Possibly.

Last year there was THAT moment when Lady Gaga pushed past Leonardo Dicaprio.

And this year, we had a generous serving of celebrity fails.

Emma Stone accidentally got involved in a hug between La La Land director, Damien Chazelle, and his girlfriend.

Tom Hiddleston got absolutely rejected when he tried to shake hands with Hugh Laurie.

And, of course, Andrew Garfield and Ryan Reynolds were caught SNOGGING.

Yes, actual full-on, face-grabbing, lip-smacking snogging.

It all happened while Ryan Gosling beat Ryan Reynolds for the “Best Actor” award. As Gosling went to collect his win, the camera panned past and caught the intimate moment between the two seated actors.

The internet absolutely loved it, natch.

And now Andrew has revealed exactly what lead to that steamy background moment.

Appearing on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, he revealed: "I just wanted Ryan to know that I loved him, no matter whether he won or lost.

"I just wanted him to know that [winning] doesn't matter, it's how you play the game. He showed up, he gave his all, it doesn't change anything in my heart.”

HOW SWEET.

Pretty sure that there are a shit load of Spider Man and Deadpool fans writing up erotic fan fiction somewhere in the deep, dark corner of the internet right now.

And if that’s how Andrew shows his friends how much they mean to him, we really want to be his friend.

No, seriously. Can anyone help us?
