In news that has completely blindsided us, Angelina Jolie has filed for divorce from Brad Pitt.
IS LOVE ACTUALLY DEAD?
It's said that the trigger was a conflict over their six children, according to TMZ.
It's reported that Angelina has asked for physical custody of the couple's kids, whereas Brad would have visitation rights.
"Angelina's decision to file has to do with the way Brad was parenting the children ... she was extremely upset with his methods," a source told TMZ.
The couple have six children together – Maddox, 15, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, Pax, 12 and eight-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.
Angelina lists the date of separation as Thursday 15 September 2016.
Angelina's divorce lawyer is Laura Wasser, who was employed by Kim Kardashian for both of her divorces, and by Johnny Depp and Heidi Klum.
Brad and Angelina met in 2005 on the set of Mr and Mrs Smith. They've been together ever since and married in August 2014 in a ceremony in France.
However, they'd actually officially married a little earlier in what sounds like the least romantic way possible.
"Before the wedding in France with the kids, Brad and I were already married in California," Angelina told Italian magazine Io Donna.
"As Americans, we couldn't marry legally in France."
Angelina also revealed the wedding was even more low key than their French do, at Chateau Miraval, and explained:
"One day I said to Brad, 'Let's meet up at 4:30 pm.’ I called a Justice of the Peace and we signed the documents."
Twitter has, of course, gone wild with speculation about the feelings of Jennifer Anniston, who had been married to Brad for five years when he met Angelina.
