She may be one of the most successful stars in the world, but the last few years have been a whirlwind of heartache and legal drama for Angelina Jolie, as her bitter divorce battle with Brad Pitt drags on. Since their shocking 2016 split, the former Hollywood golden couple have been locked in a high-stakes war over custody, finances, and even their prized Château Miraval winery.
Through it all, the Oscar-winning actress has kept a brave face, focusing on her six children and her humanitarian work. She has also remained steadfastly single, despite admitting towards the end of last year that she often feels ‘lonely,’ despite having her children for company.
‘I have my children I love but as an adult I’m often alone,’ she revealed during promotion for Maria, her biopic about late opera star Maria Callas.
'I also haven’t quite figured out how to live life in a way where I’m on my own.’
Now though, sources are hoping that a new love interest could be on the horizon, and it’s none other than her former husband, Trainspotting star Jonny Lee Miller.
According to insiders Angelina, who is mum to Maddox, 23, Zahara, 20, Pax, 21, Shiloh, 18, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 16, has been raving about the British actor once again. And now, friends are urging her to jump in and date him, in what they feel could be her chance at finding forever happiness.

‘Jonny understands Angie like nobody else ever has or ever will,’ said a source. ‘At least, that’s the consensus amongst the people who know her best. He is patient, kind and she has incredible respect for him. She talks to him all the time, and there’s undoubtedly a spark between them when they meet up. Even their kids get along great.’
Angelina, 49, and Jonny, 52, first got together back in 1995, when they starred together in cyber movie Hackers. Their whirlwind romance culminated in an intimate wedding in March 1996, when Angelina wore black rubber pants and a white shirt, with Jonny’s name written across the back in her own blood. However, their busy careers kept them apart and they split in 1999.
‘He deserves more than I am prepared to give at this time in my life, but there is a very good possibility that we could get married again some time in the future,’ Jolie is allegeded to have told a reporter after the split.
Despite their tumultuous history, the pair have remained good friends over the years and Angelina has referred to him as ‘a solid man and a solid friend.’ She has even been seen visiting the actor’s New York apartment, and the pair were snapped heading out for dinner in 2021. Angelina’s son Knox, 16, is also said to be pals with Jonny’s son Buster and, just last month, she told an audience at the Santa
Barbara International Film Festival that she had ‘just talked’ to her ex.
‘I do have a wonderful relationship with Jonny,’ she said. ‘He and I have sons the same age.’
