It’s been one of the longest and most bitter divorces in Hollywood history, so it’s hardly surprising Angelina Jolie isn’t best pleased to see ex Brad Pitt getting serious with new girlfriend Ines de Ramon. In fact, insiders say that the actress and philanthropist is keen to meet up with Ines – and definitely not for a pleasant chat.
“Brad’s new relationship is a sore topic for Ange,” says an insider close to the 47 year old, whose divorce proceedings from Brad, 59, are still ongoing, seven years after they announced their split.
“Ange wants to take control of the situation instead of sitting in the shadows watching, and hopes to meet up with Ines one-on-one. She wants to tell her side of the story about her time with Brad and then Ines can make up her own mind.”
Last week, Brad was spotted out on a date night in Paris with Ines, 29 – who is currently going through her own divorce from Vampire Diaries star Paul Wesley. The couple were seen getting cosy at Fouquet’s restaurant on the Champs-Élysées. It comes three months after they first went public at a U2 concert back in November.
Brad and Angelina – who met in 2003, while he was still married to Jennifer Aniston – are heading back to court yet again as the battle over custody of their youngest children, Shiloh, 16, and 14-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne, drags on. Their older kids, Maddox, 21, Pax, 19, and Zahara, 18, are now considered too old to be part of any ruling.
Also ongoing is the legal battle over their wine business, Miraval , with Brad claiming Ange is deliberately trying to “inflict harm” on him.
heat’s insider continues, “Brad is still the father of their kids, so Ange feels entitled to involve herself in his life. She can see for herself that things are getting serious between him and Ines – Brad’s even talking marriage – but she feels it will eventually go wrong. If Ines isn’t interested in hearing her warning now, Ange thinks she’ll be glad of it down the line.”
