She was still in the Celebrity Big Brother house when news of her ex-husband's death broke but after walking out of the competition, Angie Bowie has revealed all about her relationship with David Bowie.
In an interview with The Sun on Sunday, Angie has discussed her volatile marriage with the legendary singer and even recalled an incident when she thought he was trying to kill her.
Angie has claimed that* The Starman* legend allegedly tried to strangle her after fight with his assistant Corinne Schwab escalated.
Angie, 66, said: “David was high.
"Suddenly David hurtled across the room. He grabbed my throat with both hands and started squeezing. He was blindly angry, yelling at me as he tightened his grip, and I started panicking."
She added: “It didn’t feel as if he was going to stop.”
Angie blames Corinne for she and David's 1979 divorce. The pair had been married for 10 year and one son, Zowie. Before David died earlier this month, the two had not been close for 40 years.
Speaking of David's tragic death, Angie said: “If I had been able to speak to him one last time, I wouldn’t have had anything to say.
“But I have no regrets. I will remember David now as a passionate talent.
“The two of us, we set out to change the world with his music. And that’s what we did.”
