Love Island star Anna Vakilli has opened up about her terrifying battle with coronavirus, calling it 'the worst illness I’ve ever had in my life."

In an exclusive chat with heatworld, Anna and her younger sister Mandi shared their experience with the deadly virus and how it knocked their family for six over the Christmas period.

Anna said, "It was just horrible. I was in tears from the head pain and the lack of energy. The worst thing was that when I got it, Mandi got it and then my whole family got it. We were just a sick house. It was really surreal and scary when my parents got it. That was the scariest time for us."

The Vakili family's ordeal took a turn for the worse and an ambulance was called to their home.

Anna said, "My mums got underlying health conditions, so she’s diabetic, she’s got high blood pressure and cholesterol and she’s 65, so looking at the news, we were thinking, "she’s gonna die. It was bad, but she handled it really well".

My dad on the other hand... the ambulance came for our dad twice. He collapsed. When I saw my dad on the floor I thought he had died, it was the scariest moment"

Mandi added, "Someone said on Instagram how it’s like a roulette - you don’t know who is going to get it worse."

Symptom-wise, Anna shared how she "had really bad shakes which I’m sure was coming from the high temperature, a headache, nausea and a general weak feeling… fatigue and muscle ache. A loss of appetite."

Meanwhile, younger sister and influencer Mandi admitted she'd "had worse colds" and therefore was able to look out for the other family members. " I completely lost my taste, though nothing stops me from eating! My headaches were quite bad. I didn’t really have shivering and a high temperature, I think I had that for one night and that was it."

Anna and Mandi admitted they still haven't opened their Christmas presents yet, after falling ill over the festive period.

"Christmas in my house was like a cemetery! Every single person in their bed and you could literally hear a penny drop. That was not how I had envisioned my Christmas. We had spent so much money on our Christmas tree as well."

Thankfully, the girls are now feeling much better and are going on daily walks and taking supplements such a Berrocca and vitamin D to get their strength up.

In other news, the Vakili sisters revealed their ride-or-die brow gel during a YouTube tutorial and it's the one from Anastasia Beverly Hills.

Anna admitted that she "absolutely loved the product" before claiming it's the "best" brow gel out there and even went on to say that it's "better than" brow lamentation.

Mandi went on to add, "We discovered it years ago and we've never stopped".
