They’ve been embroiled in a very public and bitter feud for the past four years, and the drama between Lauryn Goodman, Kyle Walker, and his wife Annie Kilner doesn’t seem like it’ll be stopping any time soon.
Last week, Lauryn, who has continued to criticise Kyle for his lack of involvement in their children’s lives, dropped yet another bombshell. Posting on Instagram Stories, she shared the full message she sent to Annie, 32, just days after Christmas, when she confirmed Kyle was the father of her daughter Kinara, now 13 months old. In it, she claimed Kyle had been lying to both of them, that he didn’t want them to communicate, and warned he would ‘gaslight’ Annie.
And Celebs Go Dating star Lauryn, 33 – who also shares son Kairo, four, with Manchester City player Kyle, has made it clear she has plenty more to say after the launch of her new podcast, Yours Sincerely, where she’s shared even more details about the scandal.
Now, as Lauryn continues her blistering attacks, sources tell heat Annie is fed up of being painted as the villain, after it was reported that Kyle cut contact with his and Lauryn’s children in order to save his marriage. We’re told Annie is actually open to the idea of Kyle, 34, having a relationship with Kairo and Kinara, and for them to meet their siblings, Roman, 12, Riaan, eight, Reign, six, and five-month-old Rezon – but without Lauryn.
‘After getting over the initial shock and anger, Annie had always been fine with the idea of her children meeting Lauryn’s children – but on her terms,’ an insider tells heat. ‘They are her boys’ siblings and she wants to do what’s right by all six children, but she’s insisting Lauryn must not be present. Annie doesn’t want to be around her and she doesn’t want Kyle to be around Lauryn. She’s open to the kids meeting, but it’ll be on her terms and nobody else’s.’
Childhood sweethearts Annie and Kyle have had a rocky relationship over the years. They split in 2019 following allegations that he cheated on her with Ex On The Beach star Laura Brown, but they reconciled shortly after. The following year, Annie was left devastated once again when Lauryn revealed on social media that Kyle was the father of her then-unborn son Kairo, saying the baby was conceived ‘during a period we had both split from our previous partners’. Annie forgave Kyle and they secretly married in November 2021, but she endured more heartbreak after finding out Kyle had also fathered Lauryn’s daughter Kinara.
Following Lauryn and Kyle’s explosive court case over child maintenance last month – where the judge ruled heavily in Kyle’s favour – an insider told us Annie felt like the victim of ‘some crazy mind games from Lauryn’, adding, ‘She felt like she was been losing her mind… Because of the court case, she couldn’t talk about it, so she had no one to turn to. People just believed she was all about payback for Kyle cheating or that she was just a “doormat”. But the judge’s comments show Lauryn was hell-bent on destroying their marriage.’
Now, our source says that while Annie will never be able to forget what has happened, she’s attempting to put the past behind them and knows Kyle needs to see all his children. ‘She has to protect herself and her sons. She will never fully get over the betrayal by both Kyle and Lauryn, but Kyle seems remorseful, whereas Lauryn is still blaming Annie for this whole mess,’ we’re told. ‘She knows what a good dad Kyle is and it would be very hard for him not to have a relationship with Lauryn’s children. But both of them have shown they can’t be trusted in the past, so Annie wouldn’t have Lauryn in any meetings. She wants to give her marriage this one last chance.’
