Considering the number of times Annie Kilner has been in the headlines over the last few years, mostly thanks to wayward husband Kyle Walker, it was hardly a surprise Celebrity Big Brother bosses were desperate to snap her up. But despite a reported £750,000 offer, it was revealed last week that the WAG has turned down the chance to appear on the ITV reality show, which returns this spring.
According to reports, Annie ruled out CBB due to the fact her youngest son Rezon is not yet one and filming is just weeks away. However, heat can reveal that she is considering signing up for I’m A Celebrity– after being inspired by WAG pal Coleen Rooney’s success last year. And just as Coleen opened up in the jungle about her difficult times with Wayne, ITV bosses are said to be hoping Annie would spill secrets about her rocky marriage for the first time.
‘Annie would attract global interest, and she’d be TV gold,’ an insider tells heat. ‘She’s been through so much with her marriage and has kept a dignified silence so far, and this could be a great chance to show everyone the real her and tell her side of the story. Kyle knows that if she were to do a TV show, she’d have to speak about their relationship and he’s quite happy for her to. He feels dreadful about what he’s put her through and wishes he could turn the clock back, so all he can do now is support her.’
While childhood sweethearts Annie, 32, and Kyle, 34, have had an infamously on/off relationship, their three-year marriage reached make-or-break last January when he was revealed to have fathered second child Kinara, 19 months, with influencer Lauryn Goodman. The bombshell news emerged almost four years after Lauryn and Kyle became parents to son Kairo, now five, who was conceived when he and Annie were on a break.
Despite Annie serving him with divorce papers, the couple spent Christmas together with their sons, Roman, 13, Riaan, nine, Reign, six, and nine-month-old Rezon, and are now hoping to use Kyle’s recent Italian football transfer to start over, with him pushing for a vow renewal. And our source adds that Annie – who reunited with Kyle to mark his AC Milan debut last week – is now looking to the future.
‘Annie has seen how well Coleen came across in the jungle and all the opportunities that have come her way,’ we’re told. ‘ITV also want to give Annie her own reality show. They’d love to do a fly-on-the-wall about her new life in Milan, and Annie is definitely keen.’
