Ant and Dec make ‘£23,000 every day’ – that’s £8.4m a year!

We now know why Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly smile every day, it's not just because they're super happy chaps and very professional at their jobs, but they also earn £23,000 per day, according to reports.

So that means the pair earn £8.4m between them a year!

According to* The Mirror* their accurate daily income is £23,013 - to be exact.

However, Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton - with his updated contract for Mercedes - will be about £53,000 A DAY. (And that's Lewis BY HIMSELF).

Now that puts this all into perspective, we're clearly in the wrong career.

Anywho, Ant and Dec' income comes from co-hosting ITV programmes such as Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway and Britain's Got Talent.

We all of course remember Ant and Dec from the ninties TV show Byker Grove - that's where it all started for the dynamic duo.

Not only are the pair rumoured to own a £10m property in west London they are also insured against one of them dying.

In 2013, Ant reportedly said: "We're insured against the other dying."

He joked: "It's not for tens of millions but a fair chunk. If [Dec] does ever die in unfortunate circumstances, I'm going to be the first person the police come to because I've got a motive."
