Ant McPartlin has pleaded guilty to a charge of drink-driving following his crash in Richmond, London last month.

The Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway host attended the hearing - which was originally scheduled for April 4th but postponed due to his 'intense' stint in rehab - at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court dressed in a black suit and tie.

After confirming his details, Ant pleaded guilty to one charge of drink-driving with the court hearing he had 75 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath; more than twice the legal limit of 35 microgrammes per 100 millilitres.

In a letter read out in court, Ant said he 'accepts full responsibility' and he let himself 'and so many others down;' admitted he's been left 'ashamed and mortified' by his actions.

This all comes after ITV confirmed Ant's presenting partner Declan Donnelly will host the upcoming Britain's Got Talent semi-finals alone. A rep explained: "Dec will be hosting the live shows which for the first time ever are coming from the Hammersmith Apollo while Ant steps down from his TV commitments for now."

Following his arrest, ITV released a statement confirming Ant has stepped down from all TV duties for the 'foreseeable' future. At the time, they said: "ITV has taken a joint decision with Ant and Dec’s team not to broadcast Saturday Night Takeaway this weekend.

"We will be reviewing options for the last two episodes of the series (March 31 and April 7) which would not feature Ant who is taking time off to seek treatment. We very much hope that he gets the help that he needs."
