Over the weekend, Ant released a statement to the Mirror explaining: "In response to the recent speculation in the media, Ant is very sad to announce that, after 11 years, he is ending his marriage to Lisa McPartlin.

"Ant asks for privacy at this difficult time, for both himself, Lisa and their immediate families.

"No further statement will be made."

A source also told The Sun on Sunday: "It hasn’t happened overnight, they have been having problems for ages.

"The marriage has effectively been struggling for eight months - he’s given it a good go. They’ve met up and spoken about it a number of times and this is the decision he has made.

"They are getting divorced. He is obviously really upset about it."

It now seems Lisa's putting a positive spin on the situation, hoping that 'better times are ahead.'

She's liked fans' tweets of support, with one reading: "I wanted to send you enormous amounts of love and luck for the future. You have remained so dignified in the face of the media - You are a true inspiration."

Another said: "Well I think @lisaAmakeup has stayed classy to the end. She hasn't deserved any of this. I really feel for her. All this over the papers. Just no need @antanddec keep stuff private. Chin up Lisa."
