As more details of the Manchester attack surface, it's easy to focus on the negative. However, there has been one overwhelming positive in the form of people clubbing together to help those affected.

Ariana Grande's mum, Joan Grande, is reportedly one of those people. After enjoying the show from the front row, witnesses report they saw Joan helping children and young people to safety after the explosion rang out from the foyer.

TMZ reports: "Multiple witnesses in the arena tell us Joan Grande was surrounded by several concertgoers who were waiting to leave the arena when they heard the explosion. We’re told Joan was about to go backstage to see Ariana at the time."

She brought a large group of frightened children with her backstage, so as they could avoid the panicked rush as 21,000 people tried to exit the Manchester Arena.

TMZ continue: "We’re told she and members of Ariana’s security took the fans backstage and waited with them until they were able to safely exit the arena."

Ariana Grande has postponed her tour indefinitely, and described herself as "broken" in a heartfelt tweet.

The attack left 22 dead and 59 injured, and all our thoughts are with the families and friends of everyone affected by the tragedy.
