Earlier this year Made in Chelsea star Ashley James and Ginuwine were being billed as love's young dream as they were what can only be described as ALL OVER EACH OTHER in the Celebrity Big Brother house. Two months later, though, the pair have very much broken up and Ashley's ridin' solo once again.
Now, since we're well nosy and need closure, we thought we'd catch up with Ash to find out where it all went tits up as she fronts the fancy new Huawei P20 smartphone campaign; and it sounds like things ended pretty badly.
HI ASHLEY. How’s the love life at the moment?
It's kind of non-existent, but I’m happy. I feel like I needed to go to Mexico to heal my heart and now I’m just focusing on myself and my friends and work. I feel happy.
What actually happened with Ginuwine, then? Are you on good terms?
We don’t speak now. My dad taught me that if you don’t have anything nice to say then you shouldn’t say anything at all.
Blimey. You were in the CBB house with Andrew Brady, how do you feel about his relationship with Caroline Flack?
I spoke to him when we came out and haven't really spoken much to him since, but he’s a nice guy and Caroline is amazing.
She’s someone I look up to, but I don’t really know the ins and outs of their relationship. I think they’re both nice people and you want nice people to have happiness.
There were rumours Andrew had cheated. Do you think he's that type?
I don’t know, there’s always a lot of rumours and I like to focus on the things I know and not the things I don’t know.
You star in the Huawei A Phone Anonymous video with Russell Kane. What’s the video about? And was it fun working with Russell?
The video's a tongue-in-cheek look at all the stresses and trials and tribulations that come with being as smartphone user. We all depend on our phones; I’m self-employed so I work on my phone and we’ve all come across those same frustrations with battery life and camera quality.
It’s a fun way to celebrate the new P20 model and working with Russell was the cherry on the cake. He was hilarious, lots of energy and as funny in that environment as he is on stage.
The Huawei P20’s camera is AMAZING. What are your top 5 most Instagrammable holiday spots to make the most of it?
Tulum, Mexico is Instagram heaven. There’s palm trees, weather, lighting, swings – it’s pretty amazing! I’d also say Paris, I used to live there and there’s a lot of iconic landmarks. I still think you can’t beat home, London has a lot of great things, like you can’t beast a picture in front of a phone box.
Venice if you’re looking for a nice romantic setting and Dubai as it’s so different with the sand dunes and I get to work there a lot
