The death of Swedish DJ Avicii earlier this year, at the age of just 28, shocked the music industry. Now, four months after his death, his parents have asked his fans to share memories of their son, real name Tim Berling, for a digital memorial. The family of the 'Hey Brother' DJ have now taken to his website, Avicii.com and asked fans to leave either written memories, or photos of the late DJ.

The website reads, 'Tim created music that brought people together with timeless memories from all over the world. We created this space so you could share your memories with all of us and let the world know what Avicii meant to you. His music and your memories are forever.'

The photowall shows a collection of hundreds of photos, some of the DJ performing, others of fans' tattoos with lyrics from his songs. Other photos show times he met with his fans around the world.

Despite his death, Avicii has continued to win awards and earlier this month, Avicii's dad Klas, accepted a posthumous award for his son. The award was at the Rockbjörnen awards in Stockholm, where Avicii's song 'Without You' picked up Song Of The Year, as voted for by fans.

Rita Ora also accepted an MTV VMA for Best Dance Video, for Avicii's hit 'Lonely Together' which featured her vocals. 'Lonely Together' was Avicii's last release before his death.

Since the DJ's untimely death there have been many tributes to him, including one earlier this year when Rita Ora performed 'Lonely Together' for the first time since Avicii's death. The singer was at a music festival in Holland when she paused her set and said, "I want to say something really, really special because it's going to be hard for me to sing this next song, and I'll tell you why."

She went on to explain how Avicii "changed her life" and this was the first time she had performed their collaboration since he died. She then asked the 40,000 strong crowd to join her in a minute's silence before she sang 'Lonely Together'. During the silence the screens faded to black with Avicii's name and dates of his birth and death.
