BABY NEWS: Ashlee Simpson and Evan Ross welcome a girl!

Ashlee Simpson Ross and hubby Evan Ross have welcomed a new bundle of joy to the family. Ashlee gave birth to their daughter last night. Yay!

"Their whole family was around to support them," an E! News source said.

"Evan was very emotional and loves Ashlee so much. He did not leave her side and wanted to go through this with her every step of the way. He can't wait to be a dad.

"He would do anything for Ashlee and now this baby girl. Ashlee is doing great and can't wait to get home to to be with her family."

The new baby girl, already has a step-brother, Ashlee's six-year-old son Bronx, from her previous marriage to Pete Wentz.

"He's excited. He's so excited," Ashlee told the network.

"He's excited that it's a girl. He thinks it's cute—the tea parties—she'll be adorable."

In February, Ashlee revealed she was going to have a baby girl.

The couple, who tied the knot in an EPIC bohemian wedding back in August last year (it was the most LA thing that's ever happened - ACTUAL Diana Ross officiated the ceremony, and Ashlee wore a lace crop top and skirt), revealed the sex of the baby to People magazine.
