Nothing fills us with greater joy than two successful pop stars being successful and er... pop star-y together. Particularly when one of those pop stars is actual-queen-of-music Taylor Swift and the other is pop-punk icon Avril Lavigne.

Just days ago the internet exploded when a tumblr post sparked a major debate which left us all wondering if we should be team Swifty or team Avril.

The post showed the two stars at their respective meet and greets with the suggestion that Tay-Tay is a little more engaged with her fans than Avril. And here's the kicker: Taylor favourited the post. Shocking, we know.

Lavigne responded with snaps of her own, which showed her being much more lovey-dovey with fans. The 30 year old captioned the post:

“Comparison is judging and judging a person does not define who they are it defines who you are. We all love our fans. So let’s keep it all about the love and stay positive,”

Things were getting pretty tense between the two camps.

So imagine our delight when Taylor invited Avril to be the latest in a long line of celebs to join her on stage during her huge 1989 tour, solidifying their friendship and putting any potential 'Bad Blood' (sorry, we couldn't resist) behind them.

The pair performed a duet of Avril's massive 2002 hit 'complicated' and looked thick as thieves as far as we're concerned. Hooray!

After the show, both stars took to Instagram to express their adoration for one another. So is Avril the newest member of Taylor's girl gang? Fingers crossed.
