BBC presenter Katie Derham is FIFTH confirmed Strictly Come Dancing contestant!

Katie Derham is the latest famous face to be confirmed for this year’s *Strictly Come Dancing. *

She is a BBC presenter for Proms (an annual eight week season of classical music concerts) and also presents on Radio 3, and has hosted the Classical BRIT Awards.

Katie, who described Strictly as a “national treasure” of a show said:

"I spend hours admiring professional musicians and performers at the Proms and BBC Radio 3, so I'm thrilled to have the chance to throw myself into an equally demanding and beautiful world,"

She continued: "It will be a totally new experience for me and I can't wait to get going."

She will be competing against the likes of Ainsley Harriott, Kellie Bright, Georgie May Foote and Jeremy Vine.

We can wait to see Ainsley cook up a storm, personally.

The dancing competition first hit our screens in 2004, and the thirteenth series is set to start again in September.
