Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck once seemed like the perfect Hollywood couple - in the sense that we saw them walking around with prams a lot and they were pictured holding hands - until their divorce revealed a slightly different story.
A month after their ten-year marriage came to an end, Ben Affleck was romantically linked to their nanny. Something that both parties vehemently denied before the nanny quietly stopped working for them and everyone stopped asking questions.
"We had been separated for months before I ever heard about the nanny," Jen said in a Vanity Fair interview. "She had nothing to do with our decision to divorce."
Fast forward more than eight months, and the pair have signed absolutely no divorce papers. They are also hanging out all the time, so they can be with their children (Violet, Seraphina and Samuel), and continue to live together. Oh, wait, what? They live together?
While this could well be nothing more than a unique living arrangement that works for everyone, the pair were spotted kissing in a hotel bar on 5 May and Jen has since been seen with what could either be a baby bump or a hearty lunch. Difficult to tell.
"Friends are expecting an announcement very soon that Jen is pregnant," a source told RadarOnline. Oh. Well that clears that up then.
"She's always wanted another child with him. Even since they split, she's gushed publicly about how he is the love of her life.
"First she let him move back onto their property, living in a guest house. They've continued taking family vacations, spending all the important days in their children's lives together, even sleeping together.
"In many ways, Ben's been a lousy husband — but Jen still loves him and missed their steamy sex life."
Anyone else concerned that this source is hiding in Jennifer's wardrobe? He/she/it continued:
"When she gave birth to Samuel in 2012, she hoped things would change, since all Ben talked about was how much he wanted a son. But he fell back into his same old bad habits.
"I think they both hoped the split would be the big, final wake-up call that would turn Ben into the husband they're convinced he can be. Jen loves being a mother, and she wants a real family, not two parents living apart and sharing custody."
So the implication here is that Jen is trying to trap Ben by splitting up with him and then getting pregnant. If having a baby together was a foolproof way of trapping Ben Affleck then, erm, he'd be well and truly trapped by now. They have three children. He'd be in a bunker somewhere, surrounded by baby holograms and guarded by a million baby soldiers stationed next to doors locked from the outside.
However, as it stands, neither have confirmed the pregnancy, so let's wait and see...
