Benedict Cumberbatch is getting a CBE, presumably for services to sexiness

We like this decision, Queenie

Benedict Cumberbatch

Benedict Cumberbatch is such a ledge (and such a fit, fit ledge, too) that he’s reportedly going to get a CBE in the Queen’s birthday honours list on Saturday.

We thoroughly approve of this, obviously.

The honour is for his services to drama (which also equates as his services to being sexy. Because half the job of an actor is to just look fit, isn’t it? Oh, come on).

We’re currently enjoying imagining the Queen going through a list of actors and deciding who she thinks is fit or not.

An insider told The Sun that it’s actually been a controversial decision – because Benny is only 38.

“It's not as though he's a veteran actor such as John Hurt, who didn't get the CBE until he was 64,” they told the paper. Well, that’s a bit huffy isn’t it?

“Benedict is clearly very talented but a CBE is normally those coming towards the end of their careers.”

Oi, insider – maybe the Queen just quite fancies Benedict, like we said.

It’s thought that Benedict has already accepted the honour – so we’ll be watching the Queen and seeing if she blushes when Benedict goes to meet her.
