Why has Beyonce had her Jay Z-inspired tattoo lasered off her ring finger?

And now it seems Beyonce has had a significant tattoo removed from the ring finger of her left hand.

From looking through her recent pics, it seems Bey had the Roman numerals IV - a reference to her and Jay Z's significant number 4 - lasered off some time between Coachella festival and the Easter weekend in April, as the inking was there one minute and gone the next.

She posted a picture of herself wearing a bright orange outfit eating fried chicken on her Easter getaway last month, and the body art - or what remained of it - had been covered up with a plaster.

But when Bey stepped out courtside at a Nets basketball game at this weekend just gone, her ring finger was devoid of the eye-catching tattoo.

So what's going on there, then???

The story behind the tatt started back in 2008, after Jay proposed to her.

They both got matching IV inkings etched onto their ring fingers - presumably because Bey's high-intensity dance routines would make wearing her enormous engagement rock a danger to everyone around her.

Earlier today, the Drunk In Love singer seemed to be making a point of reaching out to her sister by posting four pictures of the two of them on her Instagram - just a day after Solange deleted all of her snaps of Beyonce bar one from her own account.

Meanwhile, a source has confirmed Jay and Bey WILL be attending Kim Kardashian's wedding to Kanye West in a couple of weeks' time, having apparently already said they wouldn't be coming due to fears the _KUWTK c_amera crew would be there.

Now Kim has confirmed her nuptials will not be filmed, and Jay has reportedly replied to Kimye's RSVP with a diamond-encrusted gold flask baring an inscription confirming he will act as Kanye's best man.
