Beyonce premiered her brand new visual album Lemonade on HBO Saturday night, and her title choice immediately became clear: Queen Bey's latest project is all about turning lemons into lemonade – a not so subtle hint at life after Jay Z?
The divorce rumour mill has been in overdrive since THAT lift episode with Solange back in 2014. This time last year, Beyonce was spotted without her wedding tattoo and music's most prolific duo failed to publicly celebrate their anniversary.
Earlier this month, Jay Z reportedly stormed out of the marital home after a series of arguments - so what's going on between them?
Lemonade is littered with references to a cheating husband and strong black women standing up for what's right. The first half sees Bey smash through windows with a baseball bat (allegedly called Hot Sauce - of "I got hot sauce in my bag" from new single Formation) and sing about being disrespected, lied to and cheated on.
In Sorry, she sings: "I see them boppers in the corner / They sneaking out the back door / He only want me when I'm not there / He better call Becky with the good hair."
Hours later, fashion designer Rachel Roy appeared to out herself as 'Becky' on Insta with the caption: "Good hair don't care, but we will take good lighting, for selfies, or self truths, always. live in the light #nodramaqueens."
Her account has now been re-set to private. Hmm.
Lemonade carries over images from the Black Lives Matter movement that appeared in the Formation videos, along with cameos from powerful supporters Serena Williams and Zendaya.
Zendaya reposted a particularly poignant lyric with the caption "Dear Future Husband".
The HBO special concluded with the penultimate song from the album, All Night, playing over a home video of Bey, Jay Z and daughter Blue Ivy. Is it a farewell kiss to family bliss?
All 12 tracks are available on Tidal and will soon be on iTunes. WE CAN'T WAIT.
