By far the best thing (probably) about the arrival of spring is that Big Brother UK will imminently be back on our screens.

We've been obsessed with the show for literally almost 20 years now (it started in 2000), and we can't wait to see what bosses have in store for series 19.

But who will be on it? When does it start? And will there be any shake ups in the new series? Find out below.

What's the latest gossip with Big Brother 2018? Will Big Brother's Bit On The Side still be on?

Big Brother bosses are said to be ditching Bit On The Side this year in an attempt to boost ailing ratings.

According to a report by the Daily Star, they'll be bringing back Big Brother's Little Brother to take its place - which airs before rather than after the main programme. The original show used to be hosted by Dermot O'Leary in the Channel 4 days.

A source told the publication: "Ratings for Bit On The Side have dropped in recent years. It is felt that it has had its time.

"Channel 5 now want Big Brother's spin-off to be like it was years ago. So it makes sense to bring back Little Brother."

Will Big Brother be back next year? Did I hear this might be the last one EVER? 😭

Emma Willis recently gave us the devastating news that this could be the last series of BB, due to the fact that ratings have been falling.

The show, which turns 18 this series, is in its last year of its contract - and it's unclear whether it will be renewed.

Emma told The Mirror: “I don’t know, we’re all waiting. I think they’re in negotiations at the minute. I’d hate to see it disappear.

“Fingers crossed we have a fantastic summer series and the channel want to keep it."

When does Big Brother 2018 start?

We don't have an exact start date yet, but the series usually starts in June.

However, there has been some speculation that series 19 could be on our screens sooner.

An eagle-eyed fan noticed that the audition application form said people who were auditioning for the show had to be 18 by 31 July, 2018. In previous years, this date had been later - December or November. And many people have taken this to mean the series is starting earlier. Watch this space...

How do I apply for Big Brother 2018? Is there still time?

Sadly, it's too late to apply for the upcoming series of Big Brother - applications closed on 19 March.

How are the contestants on Big Brother 2018? Are there any confirmed or rumoured housemates?

Sadly, unlike Celebrity Big Brother, rumoured housemates for the regular version and few and far between.

Big Brother creative director Paul Osborne said of the application process: "Following the buzz around Celebrity Big Brother: Year of the Woman in January we are looking for stand-out personalities who may be inspirational to our viewers, who have something to talk about and who will spark discussion both inside and outside of the house.

"We are searching all over the UK and Ireland for the best housemates leaving no stone unturned."

Who are the presenters of Big Brother 2018?

Emma Willis will as usual present the main show and, as far as we know, Rylan Clark-Neal will present the sister show (whatever formate it may be)
