We don't know about you, but Big Brother's annihilation week is STRESSING US OUT. We get so nervous watching it that it's borderline not even fun anymore (we joke ofc - BB could never not be fun).
And tonight it's set to get EVEN MORE MENTAL, as producers are throwing the latest massive spanner in the house (not literally).
After calling each housemate into the diary room, Big Bro makes them choose whether they'd like to be rich or poor. If they choose rich, they'll receive luxury food, treats and £50,000 from the prize fund. If they choose poor, they'll get no dolla, live on basic food, forfeit hot water, and their bedding will be replaced with rags.
The choice seems pretty obvious, right? Well, for a house who are all wanting to look saintly and selfless in the run up to next week's final, poor is prob the best option. In fact, only three of the housemates opted to be rich – including two that we did NOT expect.
Jackson Blython, Alex Cannon and Ryan Ruckledge opt for the luxury position – but Jackson later demotes Ryan to poor after having to choose between him and his pal Al.
Remember that task where they were offered the chance for various treats (including visits from loved ones) in exchange for loyalty points? And Jackson made those semi-convincing claims about wanting to be selfless and wanting to sacrifice a chance to see a vid of his son so others could get their prizes? Well, Jackson may have tarnished that saintly rep he tried so hard to ensure for himself (seriously, he banged on about housemates spending too many points in that task FOR AGES).
Weirdly, Alexwas another one slating the other housemates for using too many loyalty points – strange, huh?
Deciding to take the £5,000 is a fair enough move in our opinion – it's A LOT of money, and could be life changing for them – but it does make us think that their selfless personas weren't entirely genuine….
And the other housemates clearly agree. Evelyn tells Alex and Jackson that they have both "contradicted themselves".
She also says in the Diary Room: "Nothing wrong with taking the money. The thing that pissed me off is Alex and Jackson were going on about integrity last night and that they wouldn't take the money…now £10k off the prize money!"
Tune into Channel 5 tonight at 9pm to see the full action!
