Big Brother winner Helen Wood has been struck by lightening!

Big brother 2014 winner Helen Wood has revealed that she was struck by lightening.

The reality star told The Sun how she was hit by the one-in-a-million bolt of lightening whilst walking her dog, Dude.

She said: “I just completely froze when the lightening hit me.”

"I was on the phone to a friend. I felt the electric it shock go through my skull down past my right eye and then out my jaw.

"It was so powerful. I screamed then ran to the car. I had a bad headache and felt really dizzy but I don't know whether that was jus the shock. I was in the middle of nowhere and terrified."

Helen was rushed to hospital where a doctor treated her for three hours, concluding that it was her posh wellies that saved her life.

She later tweeted: "Thanks to my @HunterBoots I'm alive today"

"Got struck by lightening, the doctor said 'you would never have survived without them' Amen."
