Big Brother winner Pete Bennett is now homeless after getting addicted to ketamine

Remember Pete off Big Brother? Him of the mad hair, Tourette’s and romance with Nikki “who is she?!” Grahame? Of course you do – unless you were born actually yesterday.

He won £100,000 when he exited Big Brother – but spent his money on all the wrong things.

It turns out that Pete’s now homeless and has been sleeping on his mate’s sofa – after he got hooked on ketamine.

He went on Jeremy Kyle and said: “I couldn’t go anywhere without getting fed drugs. As soon as I came out of the house I was led down a golden path.”

“I remember not being allowed to do what I wanted, I was a puppet, I was doing what I was told.”

“Work dried up because I was to do with BB. I lost it all. It all went wrong. It didn’t go to plan.

‘Having all that money, I didn’t know what to do with it. To be homeless after having too much money, I didn’t mind too much. The fame pushed me in a way I didn’t want to go.

“I was addicted to ketamine. You don’t know you’re out of control until it hits you. It became a habit. I couldn’t do anything without doing it.

Pete also confided that he started using the drug after several friends died, as a way of coping with his loss.

“It would be nice to have my mates here, I’ve lost seven people since BB. But I’m turning things around.”

Despite this, Pete’s determined to fight to keep clean – and put a roof over his head with acting work.

Pete, buddy – you’re a legend. Keep on trucking.
