The author of the smash hit Netflix film Birdbox, has penned the sequel to the book that wowed millions of TV fanatics last year.
Josh Malerman, the genius behind the alternative universe thriller, has said the second novel is nearly complete and was spurred onto writing it following the film's success.
Speaking to Empire, he said: "I've been asked a ton of times, people want to know what happened with Boy and Girl. The Bird Box world is Malorie's story and I wanted to know more about her".
The next book will take place eight year after the film finished and will be called 'Malorie', named after the character made famous by Oscar winner Sandra Bullock.
Josh also revealed he wrote the second novel in the same flat as where he wrote the first. "I was in the same physical space but also the same mental space, as the first one".
