Following her bitter legal battle against Justin Baldoni, Blake Lively’s longstanding friendship with Taylor Swift is said to be over – but we’re told she is willing to do anything to get herself back in the singer’s good books.
Blake’s lawsuit against It Ends With Us director and co-star Justin, 41, is fast becoming the showbiz drama of the century. In the most recent update, it emerged that despite the best efforts of Blake’s legal team, Justin will be allowed to access any private messages between the actress and Taylor that relate to the film. Although his $400m defamation case against Blake, 37, and her husband Ryan Reynolds, 48, has been dismissed, the original lawsuit filed by Blake against Justin for sexual harassment and leading a campaign to destroy her reputation is due to go to court next year.
As heat previously reported, Taylor has chosen to distance herself from her former BFF amid the drama, but for Blake, this is one friendship she can’t let go of. Revealing that the Gossip Girl alum is ‘desperate’ to fix things, our insider shares, ‘Blake is devastated that things have gotten to this place, and she’s refusing to accept that their friendship is over. She’s been texting and calling Taylor, pleading for forgiveness.’

First linked back in 2015, Taylor, 35, and Blake have been a constant fixture in each other’s lives, from partying at the Super Bowl to enjoying double dates. However, fans were left shocked when texts reportedly sent from Blake to Justin were released, with one bombshell message reading, ‘If you ever get round to watching Game Of Thrones, you’ll appreciate that I’m Khaleesi. And like her, I happen to have a few dragons.’ It’s widely reported that one of the ‘dragons’ in question is Taylor, with a source claiming that the superstar ‘would never think of herself as Blake’s dragon, or protector’. Amid the fallout, Taylor’s boyfriend Travis Kelce, 35, has also quietly unfollowed Ryan on Instagram.
Our source says, ‘Blake swears it was never her intention to use Taylor. It’s been twisted into this ugly thing and weaponised against her. To be cut off so abruptly has been one of the most painful experiences of her life.’ But when it comes to winning over Taylor, who is godmother to Blake's daughters James, 10, Inez, eight, and Betty, five – the actress also has a two-year-old son James – it’s a challenge the Age Of Adaline star isn’t facing alone.

We’re told, ‘Blake has enlisted all kinds of people to help her convince Taylor to give her another chance, including their mutual friend Hugh Jackman, who a lot of people are crediting as the peacemaker. Salma Hayek has also been a huge source of support. But as far as Blake’s circle of friends, most of them have sided with Taylor. It’s very likely Blake will never be close to the likes of Gigi Hadid, Cara Delevingne and Selena Gomez again. They acted like they were her friends, but the moment Taylor was upset, they showed their true colours. It’s something Blake will never forget.’
The source adds, ‘Blake’s desperately hoping that Taylor will forgive her, but of course, there’s no guarantee that she will be let back into her inner circle. Yes, the lines of communication are open – but when Taylor cuts someone off, it’s usually for life. Still, Blake isn’t ready to give up. She loves Taylor and misses her terribly, and she’ll do anything to fix this.’

Who’s backing Blake?
Hugh Jackman

Long-time best pals with Ryan after meeting on set in 2007, Deadpool And Wolverine star Hugh, 56, is firmly on Blake’s side – posting plenty of pics with the now-controversial couple.
Salma Hayek

Actress Salma, 55, hasn’t shied away from publicly supporting Blake, even enjoying a girls’ night out last month. The pair first met in 2012, on the set of Savages.
Robyn & Lori Lively

The youngest of five children, Blake’s relied on big sisters Lori, 58, and Robyn, 53, heavily. Robyn previously addressed the drama on social media, writing, ‘Justice for my sister!’
America Ferrera, Amber Tamblyn & Alexis Bledel

Blake’s Sisterhood Of The Travelling Pants co-stars released a supportive statement reading, ‘As Blake’s friends and sisters for over 20 years, we stand with her in solidarity.’
