You know when you say something and then have to take it all back? Like, saying, “Game Of Thrones is lame” without having watched it. Or claiming the '90s were horrendous and you’d like NEVER be seen dead in a crop top?

But it’s far, far worse for Boy George.

He’s a new judge on The Voice, but seems to have conveniently forgotten that he slagged the show off 'til the cows came home a few years ago.

George wrote on Twitter:

At the time The Voice’s official account replied: “Thanks for watching”.

Boy George then wrote back: “Well, I am paying for it!”

We imagine that George’s sudden change in opinion might have something to do with that old cash money he was talking about…

An insider told The Sun: "This was obviously banter. George is clearly passionate about the show and won’t be holding back on his opinions when he is in the studio."

Well, that’s actually quite a point. At least George HAS opinions – so it’ll be interesting to see what he thinks once he starts on the show.

Boy George has been brought onto the show to replace Tom Jones – while Paloma Faith takes up Rita Ora’s job, after she defected to The X Factor.
