It’s been a tough old year, so the idea of going anywhere on holiday is tempting right now. But the idea of joining Jennifer Aniston on one of her famed Mexico getaways? We go giddy just imagining it. So, really, we’re far from surprised that Brad Pitt is packing his cossie and joining Jen and her crew on a luxury trip to Cabo.
After all, the pair may have cooled down any talk of reconciliation, but they’ve each proven to be a tremendous support to one another during lockdown – so a relaxing mini-break seems like the perfect next step. And if it winds up a certain second ex-wife in the process, then so be it.
“Brad and Jen never lost touch over the last few months – they just dialled down the intensity and kept things low-key because it took the pressure off,” says an insider close to the former couple, who broke the internet in January after being pictured embracing at the SAG Awards.
“They haven’t ruled out getting back together, but these days they’re just enjoying being good friends and want to take their time before committing to anything. Jen has a few favourite spots in Cabo, where she and her guests are treated like royalty. Brad knows her friends who will be coming, like Courteney [Cox], Jason Bateman and his wife Amanda, and Jen’s manager Aleen [Keshishian] and he always has a blast with them, so they’re both excited.

Brad, 56, could really use a holiday, after a rough few weeks of legal wrangling. According to our source, both Brad and Jen, 51 – who recently hit the headlines after reuniting for a virtual table read of ’80s movie Fast Times At Ridgemont High – know that news travels fast, and their upcoming holiday won’t do much to temper Ange’s fury. But if she’s not worried about upsetting Brad, then he’s not going to concern himself with her feelings.
“Brad’s having a hard time with Ange right now,” we’re told. “He feels trying to get the judge removed was a low blow. In the past, he might have avoided rubbing his friendship with Jen in her face, but he’s well aware what the rumour mill is saying, so why not embrace it?”
